your own words and using referenced quotes describe what is meant by the term
‘strategic leadership’?

Using strategy in the
management of workers is the key element of strategic leadership. The central
strategy generally employed is to motivate workforce to take the enterprise to
improve their productive input into the organization. Strategy encourage for
planning and thinking, whereas leadership motivate others to take the suitable action.
This management model guide and encourages workers to best practice the
business for the future.

Leaders who are strategic are constantly looking forward and
analyze the present in terms of research for what may appear for the business.
Attentiveness and responsiveness is a big ingredient of this leadership style,
but it should be pursuing up with well thought out action. Strategic leaders are growth-oriented and
adaptable. They obtain responsibility for getting things done by exercise
workers to think and act more successfully to attain the best result feasible
for the business.

The key goal of strategic leadership
is the productivity. It's not about simply increasing the quantity of
work done, conversely, but strategic productivity
or working harder for basis best for the business. Though the strategic style of leadership constantly remains the best interests
of the business in mentality, it's also enthusiastic of workers unique talents
and efforts.
v Hughes and Beatty (2005) state that individuals
and teams become strategic as they think, act, influence towards sustainable
competitive advantage and he further emphasis that Strategic thinking,
Strategic acting and strategic influencing are key skills for a leader. As an
example, Martin Luther King's "I have a Dream" changed the America's
direction as a country in terms of culture, strategy as well as leadership. It
is his acumen as a leader, ability to shape decisions to deliver high value
which created this atmosphere (Lynch, 2009). When looking at great leaders in
the past and the future, it is clear that the self belief, confidence, courage,
integrity and being yourself, with skills (Goffee and Jones, 2000) have
guaranteed the sustainability as a nation or any formal or informal organization.

two interesting similarities and two differences between 5 elements of
successful and effective Strategic Leadership model and the Transcendent
leadership model.
Two
Interesting Similarities and differences between 5 elements of successful and
effective Strategic Leadership model (also known as Lynch Model) and
Transcendent Leadership Model are given below:
Similarities:
1. Similarities
of both model is to grant benefits to the stakeholders by retaining good
relationship between them both inside and outside the organization.
2. Both
model focus to manage the changing environment and to gain sustaining
competitive advantage over time.
Differences
1. Five
elements of successful and effective strategic leadership model known as Lynch
model only focus on leadership for the organization benefits and purposes while
transcendent leadership not only focus on leadership for organization purpose
but also the leadership of self and others which is quite interesting.
2. Another
Interesting differences is that Five elements of successful and effective
strategic leadership model known as Lynch model consider human resources, as to
select and develop and motivate them also they mostly focus on key talents
whereas Transcendent model focus more on non-human elements like as strategy,
rules, procedures and structure.
